Submission of Abstracts Instructions:

All abstracts are submitted electronically through this website. Please click the link at the bottom of this page to access the submission site.

Deadline: March 9th, 2008

The abstract (maximum 300 words), should clearly outline how the work will benefit from exposure in this venue, indicate the aims, and if possible the conclusions, of the work to be described in the final paper. Preliminary or anticipated results or findings would be helpful for reviewing purposes. The abstract to be submitted should be of an original nature and not have been published in whole or part by any journal/publication. All abstracts will be published on the SCHI website at www.ehealthstudents.org with the participant’s permission. The Selection Committee will review all papers using the following criteria:

  • Significance of topic to e-Health or Health Informatics
  • Quality of Scientific Content
  • Originality or Innovativeness
  • Clarity of communication

Authors submitting abstracts will be requested to provide permission to publish the abstract, summary paper, and slides on the SCHI website. Permission by the corresponding author will indicate approval has been gained by him/her from all authors.

Confirmation of Acceptance: March 21st, 2008

All submitting authors will be notified by this date. Those accepted are expected to register online for the Virtual Student Colloquium at www.ehealthstudents.org. Prior to the conference date presenters will provide a summary of their research for circulation to registrants and experts and a set of slides to support their oral presentation if they choose to use this medium.

Submission of Slides, April 20th, 2008

Ten minute slide presentations must be submitted two weeks prior to the colloquium. File format should be either PowerPoint (.ppt) or Mac equivalent.

LANGAUAGE English is the official language and will be adopted in all the discussion, publications, and presentations. Final confirmation of successful authors will be made following a phone discussion with conference organizers.
